With the introduction of the MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, the European Union now enforces strict compliance for stablecoins. USDT does not meet these requirements, and its continued use could lead to regulatory issues.

More and more European banks, payment systems, and even crypto exchanges are limiting or refusing support for USDT, which leads to delays and blocked transfers.
